Welcome to the Richland Parish School Board

Bullying Prevention

Per R.S. 17:416:13, by no later than January 1, 2013, the governing authority of each public elementary and secondary school shall create a program to provide a minimum of 4 hours of training each year for all new employees, including bus drivers and 2 hours for returning employees, with respect to bullying. In an effort to comply with state law, the Richland Parish School Board Bullying Training Program has been created.

We would like to express our gratitude to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office and the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office for their cooperation to keeping our children safe!

Lockdown Drills

The Richland Parish School Board places a high priority on the safety of all students. To better insure the safety of our students, all schools in Richland Parish are mandated to conduct random lockdown drills throughout the school year. The purpose of a lockdown drill is to practice established procedures for securing the school building and its occupants in case of emergency. These drills are usually unannounced. Please contact the principal of your child's school if you have any questions concerning random lockdown drills.

Our Mission Statement
The Richland Parish School System will provide a comprehensive educational foundation and safe learning environment for all students. Students will demonstrate mastery of skills needed to be lifelong learners. It is our system's purpose to develop the whole child to his/her fullest potential. Excellence will be expected from each employee and student in the system.
