Biography of Commander Al Sanders

Al Sanders has risen through the ranks of the local and state American Legion to become State Vice Commander and Vice Chairman of the Distinguished Guest Committee for the National Headquarters. He has served as National Delegate for the American Legion 8 years in a row. He has received awards for top Area Commander for the state of LA, Top District Vice Commander, Top District in State and the MLK Trailblazer Award. He serves as President of the Northeast LA Veterans Association (American Legion, DAV, AmVet, Purple Heart, VFW and Am Fleet). His motto is: "If I do the service of God and help His people my reward will be greater."


November 4, 2016

Mr. McGee presents DHS Honor Roll Students with framed certificates at half-time of the Delhi vs. Oak Grove football game as a part of the reward package for Honor Roll Students. Over the course of the week they were given a free class period to eat pizza, allowed to attend the football game free of charge, honored at halftime of the football game, and an Honor Assembly was held in which they received trophies with their names engraved on them.
